This is 3D or three dimensional Htv / Heat transfer vinyl. This vinyl is flat like usual and can be cut and weeded as normal, but when heat is applied to it, it puffs up to make an amazing effect. This will make your project look very professional with just a bit of heat.
Application Instructions for a heat press
- Cut – mirror image
- Weed excess vinyl
- Preheat press to 280°F / 138°C
- Preheat garment for 2 to 3 seconds to remove moisture
- Protect your design with parchment paper or teflon sheet
- Press at medium pressure for 5 to 10 seconds
As always please test a small piece on a rag or towel before doing a large garment, as every machine and press are different. For the cutting I used light cardstock setting as my blade is old, but yours could take the iron on setting. For the pressing, again please test a small piece as every press could be off by a few degrees. I tried an iron with this puff and because my iron is a steam iron, you could see all the holes in the puff. So i took a teflon sheet and pressed with that and you couldn't see them as bad. I think maybe a towel would be better, but again test with your circumstances to get it perfect.
